Anica – Piano
Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up playing both guitar and piano gave me a deep appreciation for music and a love for the piano that has only grown over the years. As a teacher by profession, I know the joy of watching someone learn and grow, and as a piano teacher, I get to bring both of my greatest passions together.
Danial – Drums
Growing up in Red Deer, Danial was started into music with piano lessons at the age of 6, and at 11 developed an obsession with the drums. He took every chance to play throughout middle and high school, playing in the school band and jazz band and multiple rock and pop groups. From 2012 to 2013 he performed with psychedelic progressive rock group Law Of Lucid. The following fall he began his time at Macewan University studying music, graduating in 2016 with a music diploma majoring in recording technology. While in his first semester at the University, Danial joined symphonic metal group S?lborn, and with three weeks to learn the drum parts for their debut album, he flew off to Helsinki, Finland to record the album. With S?lborn, Danial has performed around the country and shared the stage with international acts such as Sonata Arctica. He continues to perform extensively with classic rock cover act Playing With Fire and additional metal groups Phantom Divine and Hyloxalus. Danial continues to have a fiery passion for hitting loud things with sticks, and is excited to be able to share his enthusiasm and experiences with the students at Dance Magic
Kai – Piano
Hello there! My name is Kai, and I have been teaching and Dance Magic Studio for 2 years! I started playing piano when I was 6 years old, and have completed up to Grade 8 Royal Conservatory. I’ve played at recitals, festivals, competitions, and weddings – including the wedding of my own piano teacher! Every musician is unique, so I take a very flexible approach to how I teach piano based on the needs and interests of my students. I love helping my students find their own place in music. Though my background is in classical music, I enjoy playing and teaching contemporary songs!
Sara – Piano
Sara’s love for music began at age six, and it was then that she knew she wanted to share that passion through teaching. She has since completed her Royal Conservatory of Music Level 10 and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a specialization in piano. Sara brings energy and creativity to her lessons, using games and fun, interactive approaches to keep students motivated and engaged. Outside the studio, Sara enjoys board games, cooking, singing in choir, and spending time outside.
