Private Guitar Lessons (Ages 6+)
Our guitar lessons include acoustic and electric, and bass guitar. We have an excellent guitar teaching staff and teach lessons in many styles from rock to jazz, classical and pop. Each lesson is designed to accommodate our students various interests and learning style. Guitar lessons at our school are enhanced by the opportunity to perform in one of our annual music recitals.
No matter what type of lessons you are interested in, we have the teachers to help and guide you in your journey to lean the guitar. Typically a student would be 7 years old before starting guitar lessons, due to their hand size, but some younger students start with a junior sized guitar. Guitar playing requires a fair amount of pressure on the fingertips from pressing on the strings. Children under 6 generally have small hands and may find playing uncomfortable. Our private guitar lessons are one-on-one instruction and lesson lengths are 30 minutes once per week.

Private Piano Lessons (Ages 6+)
The Music Program of Dance Magic Studio offers piano lessons for students of all ages and abilities from beginners to very advanced students. We offer every style of piano lessons from classical, jazz and pop.
We have a number of piano teachers on staff which allows us to match students with a teacher that works best with their particular age, ability and interest. Every so often a child may be ready to begin lessons as early as 5yrs of age. At this age they have begun to develop longer attention spans and can retain material with ease.
Before age 6 we recommend our either a small group piano lesson or our group Musical Magic program for children 5 months – 4 years of age. Our private piano lessons are one-on-one instruction and lessons are 30 minutes in length.
Private Voice Lessons (Ages 7+)
Do you love to sing in the shower or along with that favorite tune on the car radio? Have you always wondered what your voice could be like with proper training? Maybe you have a child with a gift for music and you’re looking to explore the depth of their ability through lessons. The perfect learning environment awaits you with Dance Magic Studio’s Music Program. Vocal students sing all kinds of music from their favorite artists to classical arias. Our voice teachers specialize in vocal training and sing everything from pop and jazz to opera. Many of our teachers have performance backgrounds as well.
A sample of what a student will learn in singing lessons includes how to breathe properly, how to increase their range, proper pitch, how to project and stage presence. Our school offers performance opportunities through an annual music recital providing children and adults alike with an excellent platform to perform in front of a live audience. Not interested in performing? No problem! Our recitals are optional and open to those interested. Seven years old is recommended as the youngest age for private vocal lessons. Due to the physical nature of voice lessons (proper breathing techniques, development of the vocal chords and lung capacity), the younger body is generally not yet ready for the rigors of vocal technique.
Private Vocal Fusion Lessons (Ages 7+)
Vocal Fusion is the combination of singing and accompaniment on the piano. Those days you dreamed of playing along while you sing along to your favorite songs can become a reality! Learn basic piano accompaniment and vocal skills in this class!
Private Drum Lessons (Ages 6+)
Young, old and everyone in between; playing the drums can be one of the most rewarding experiences. The art of drumming possesses a huge variety of benefits in all aspects of day to day life. Some of the benefits you can expect from playing the drums include improved posture, flexibility and co-ordination while offering great mental stimulus and physical exercise. We offer lessons to both male and female students over the age of six.
Our drum lessons stress proper technique so students become good drummers quickly. Lessons are taught on a drum kit in our studios but students are able to get started practicing at home on practice pads before purchasing or renting a drum kit. 30 minute, private drum lessons are available to students age 6 years and beyond.
Private Ukulele Lessons (Ages 6+)
The Ukulele is a fun and versatile instrument. With many chords requiring only one or two fingers, it’s an easy way to accompany yourself while singing or to just hold a tune near the campfire among friends. Beginner students can learn basic accompaniment styles using simple chording along with rudimentary strumming and finger-style techniques. Single-note melody playing will also be covered during this fun filled session. Join the Ukulele revolution!
Private Banjo Lessons (Ages 6+)
Do you love the bluesy sound of a classic banjo? Learning your favorite folk, country or even Celtic banjo music can be fun and relatively easy with practice. Learn how to play the banjo yourself to enjoy its tunes whenever you want! 30 minute private lessons available once per week to students 6yrs and beyond.
Annual Membership Fee
All music students are subject to a $55 + GST non-refundable annual membership fee.

Tuition payments are amortized over 9 monthly payments – September – May 1st.
