On Monday May 4th, 2020 hundreds of thousands of students, teachers,community members and music advocates had planned to join #TogetherInHarmony for Music Monday. The Music School of Dance Magic will be a participating group of Music Monday, virtually through their instructors!
Our 2020 anthem is Oscar Peterson’s iconic “Hymn to Freedom,” with lyrics by Harriette Hamilton. At a time when our world can seem divided and fractured, “Hymn to Freedom” espouses a message of unity and equality, which resonates as deeply today as it did in the 1960s, when it was embraced as the anthem of the Civil Rights Movement. We look forward to joining #TogetherInHarmony with you on May 4.
